Jaguars get smoky at Goodwood FoS

Jaguar is of the opinion that the correct custom for opening a garden party is with rear-tyres screaming in anguish and plumes of distressed rubber billowing profusely.

At the preview event for this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, the British car maker brought along some classic and modern icons to celebrate the E-Type's 50th anniversary.

Model Yasmin Le Bon and her daughter Amber were at the launch with a quite famous E-Type (one of two cars to have made a high-speed run from Coventry to Geneva in 1961), Jag's chief spanner-man Mike Cross decided to get the new XKR-S sideways, and BTCC racer Anthony Reid drove an XFR ‘enthusiastically', winning him the ‘Most Spirited Getaway' award. Quality.
