Jaguar I-Pace - long-term review

I live within yards of the London Congestion Charge Zone but never drive in during the week. Bus and cycle are quicker. But my nearest street charge posts (the other sort of charge) are in the C-Zone. But electric cars are exempt, if you register them.

Which is a palaver, as you have to create an account, pay a one-off tenner and upload the V5 among other stuff. I have no idea why, as their systems are linked to the DVLA and so they know perfectly well it's a ZEV. 

Interestingly, if I go to the site now and enter the Jaguar's reg number it still asks for the daily charge. But I rang their call centre and they said I should just ignore it and drive with impunity.

Anyway, it's even more important to have it exempted now, as the charge has just risen to £15 and applies seven days a week up to 10pm. It used to be £11.50 and weekdays only, not evenings or weekends.
