Yep, if you go down to the grounds of rather pleasant country pile, Cholmondeley Castle, from Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you can see many cars turning rivers of petrol into noise, smoke and many horsepowers. And guess what? The weatherman promises us that the sun'll have his hat on. Huzzah.

So, what delights can you expect to greet you? There'll be a supercar rally on Friday, complete with 100 exotics including the Pagani Zonda F, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari Enzo, Ford GT 720 Mirage, Jaguar XJ220, and McLaren SLR Roadster. Then there's the Lambo 50th anniversary display, which involves the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and the public debut of the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster.

Prefer the going to get a touch muddier? This year's Wales Rally GB is getting previewed, which means WRC stars (and the obligatory Group B veterans) will be getting flogged on Cholmondeley's 1.2-mile sprint track. Competitors include Elfyn Evans in his Ford Fiesta RS WRC, Tom Cave in his Citroen DS3-R3 and Garry Pearson, 2012 MSA British Junior Rally Champion, driving a Ford Fiesta R2.

Not fast enough for you? There'll also be a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, Ginetta G60, the new Porsche Carrera 4S, 1963 AC Cobra and 1969 Chevrolette Corvette getting a good drubbing around the sprint track, as well as the Williams FW06, Arrows A3 and A6, Hesketh Cosworth 308E, Bennetton B190, Force PC and Aston Martin UIster LM 16.
