How would you spec your Aston Martin Vantage GT8?

Stop what you’re doing and apply insane colour schemes to Aston’s track-ready beast

Published: 26 May 2016

There is a new Aston Martin Vantage GT8 configurator which lets you apply gratuitous lashings of paint, carbon and wing to the ultimate V8-powered Aston. What are you still doing here?

Since you’re hanging around, here’s a quick refresh on why the 190mph GT8 promises to be a sensational piece of kit. Essentially, it applies the Vantage GT12’s brutal aerodynamics and swollen widetrack haunches to an uprated V8 Vantage powertrain, dolling out 440bhp (up 10bhp) to the rear wheels – sans turbo or supercharger – via a choice of gearboxes.

A seven-speed paddleshift auto is optional, but hopefully you’ll be ignoring that and plumping for the delightfully traditional six-speed manual.

Weighing in 100kg lighter than a ‘normal’ Vantage and costing a GT3 RS-topping £165,000, the GT8 is possibly the most track-day suited Aston since, well, ever. And for that, it deserves a suitably lurid colour pallet and a smorgasbord of lightweight detailing.

Head over to the Aston configurator now and see if you can top TG’s own, ahem, individual creations.
