Falken team drifts for TG’s Facebook
At precisely 11.49am on Sunday 22 January 2012, something good occurred on the Internet. It wasn't the upload of another ‘baby bites a finger' video, or the highly anticipated sequel to ‘monkey rides a dog'.
No, Internet. Top Gear's Facebook page reached a whopping ten million friends! Thanks to each and every one of you.
Cause for celebration, you will agree. But how to mark such an auspicious milestone?
Thankfully, you posted in a very comprehensive suggestions list, much of which involved caravans, and their apocalyptic destruction. So we switched on the Stig, put him in a VXR8 and told him to have some fun. This is what he did.
But it appears we have been given another celebratory riposte on reaching 10 million Facebook friends. Our good friends over at Falken decided to hoon around for an afternoon drifting the tyres off their cars.
You might remember these chaps. Last year Matt Carter (2011 British Drift Champion) and his buddy Paul Cheshire (himself a two-time drifting Team Event winner) attempted to teach our useless staffer the noble art of donuting.

And judging by the video below, they certainly know what they're talking about. We're told this was done in a single take (the lack of tyre marks on the tarmac will attest to this).
Paul told us: "We just want to get more people interested in the sport". Have a gander at the video the chaps sent in to us, and tell us you're not interested...
