Classified of the week: Ferrari 458 GT2
As a right-thinking, fragrant-smelling TopGear.communist, you were probably glued to our live Le Mans 24-hour coverage. And we bet, for a moment at least, you found yourself wondering it'd be like to, y'know, drive the thing...
Well, if you have many pounds and a spare team of professional mechanics, and oodles of talent and friends in high places at the ACO, may we humbly present a Ferrari 458 GT2 racer, eligible for participation in next year's race.
Although being 97bhp down on the road car, the 465bhp racer weighs 240kg less. Thankfully, all that lovely torque remains (though the rev limit has fallen from 9,000rpm to 6,250rpm), and you get lots of lovely racing paraphernalia like a huge rear wing, lots of holes in the body and some safety scaffolding.
This particular model comes with a very, erm, unique, livery, and you don't even get any parts, so you'll have to pop down to your local Ferrari scrapyard and get some spares before race day.
That said, you'll be part of a pretty exclusive owners club - ex-F1 racers Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni have each had one. And remember, the 458 has form in enduro racing - it finished second in its class at the 2011 Le Mans, and won the 2011 Petit Le Mans.
So, the reckoning... this little thing will cost you around £279k ($425,000). Click here to view the advert.
And if you still need some convincing, watch it in action below.
