Caravaggio Corvette will build you a swoopy Euro-spec C8

Canada-based builder to offer 30 individual Unica Series 1 'Vettes with swoopier styling

Published: 25 Feb 2022

Tempted by the C8 Corvette, but worried it won’t be exclusive enough? Good news; custom car builder Caravaggio Corvette has announced what it’s calling the ‘Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette’.

Limited to 30 builds, Caravaggio describes the Unica as “a one-off car designed and built in the tradition of the great custom coach builders in Europe.”

The swoopier new carbon body includes more subtle air intakes down the flanks, a more integrated rear spoiler and a little less aggression all round. Caravaggio says that it’ll consult with each customer individually though, and that they’ll be able to choose from a range of performance upgrades including a supercharger, Brembo brakes, wheels and engine tuning.

Caravaggio also claims that each individual will have access to an “unlimited” number of exterior and interior options, be it paintjob, custom stripes, or as much carbon and Alcantara as they so desire. Keep it tasteful, please…

Five of the 30 will be built with a fully exposed carbon body, which, Caravaggio claims, reduces the weight of the first mid-engined Corvette by approximately 18kg, while each car will wear special badges that identifies it as a Caravaggio Unica Series 1 Corvette.

It won’t come cheap, mind, with prices starting at $110,000 in the US, and that’s not including the base Stingray or Z06 C8. Hope you’ve got deep pockets.
