Brabus will sell you an 888bhp G-Wagen and throw in a matching boat and watch
German tuner's new Deep Blue Statement Package is the complete collection you never knew you needed
It’s a question we often (never) find ourselves asking: what do you get the person who has everything? Well, Brabus might finally have come up with the answer in the shape of its 'Deep Blue Statement Package', which includes a matching car, boat and watch. Yikes.
This being TG, we’ll start with the car. It's a Mercedes-AMG G63 that's finished in a custom Deep Blue paint inspired by the deep blue sea (you’ll spot the theme soon enough). It's also a full 10cm wider than standard thanks to all the carbon fibre you could ever want, plus it gets massive 24-inch gloss black alloys, KW coilovers which lower the ride height by up to 45mm and a new stainless steel side-exit exhaust.
Inside, it features shell-shaped quilted leather that adorns the seats, the doorcards, the floor mats and even the boot lining. That's apparently slate grey in colour, while the air vents, centre console, speaker grilles, pedals and much more are blue. There’s also a light touching of carbon fibre, because you can never have enough.
Naturally there’s also been performance tweaks, with Brabus extracting an extra 310bhp from the G63’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 for a total of 888bhp and 922lb ft of torque. We're told that extra power output results in a 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds and a 174mph limited top speed, in a car weighing over 2.5 tonnes.
We move on. Next up is Brabus’ Shadow 900 Deep Blue Signature Edition speedboat, as revealed a couple of months back, only here painted the same colour as the car. Designed in collaboration with Finnish high-end boat builder Axopar, the 38-foot boat gets a like-for-like 888bhp courtesy of its two V8 outboard engines and can manage a top speed of more than 60 knots (69 mph).
Completing the trio is the Panerai Submersible S Brabus Blue Shadow Edition watch, which is easily the trickiest to say of the lot. It gets a titanium 47mm diameter case with matching blue and grey colour hues. There's also something called a CarboTech unidirectional rotating bezel, and indices and hands finished in – you guessed it – blue. Oh, and it’s waterproof to a depth of around 300m. Handy if you drop it off the side of your matching boat.
So that’s your lot for the full Deep Blue Statement Package, although we did forget to mention the price. In case you were wondering, it's a cool £1.04m excluding VAT. Ouch. But then again, if you’re having to ask yourself what to get the person who has everything, it’s likely you’ve got deeper pockets than most, too…
