Gaming: new Ford GT stars in Forza 6
Check out America’s new (virtual) V6 poster boy in trailer for upcoming Xbox One title
It may not exist in actual, driveable form yet, but the new Ford GT has already been mighty busy.
Not only is the Blue Oval furiously prepping a racing GT to compete at Le Mans next year, but it's also been hard at work with Turn 10 Studios stuffing the V6 two-seater into Forza 6 Motorsport, Microsoft's upcoming title for the Xbox One arcade gaming device.
And, judging by the latest Forza 6 trailer, Ford and Turn 10 have done a rather good job on the stuffing front. Click the vid above for 109 seconds of glossy, high-definition loveliness, starring the low, low Ford GT alongside a KTM X-Bow, BMW Z4 racer, LaFerrari, Tesla Model S, Lambo Aventador, Lotus 49, rather a lot of rain and some night.
Yes, Forza 6 will feature weather, and a lot of it. Rain, drizzle, showers, storms, deluges and downpours: it's got the lot. No word on whether mizzle will star from the outset, but if not we'd imagine it'll be available in some sort of post-launch update. Along with, ‘I think I just felt a spot of... actually, hang on, it's brighten-- no, definitely just felt a drop, there.'
Provided you can see ‘em through all the rain and glitzy reflections, you'll also find Forza features 26 ‘destinations' (do the rest of us call them ‘tracks'?), some 450 cars and 24-car multiplayer mode.
Forza 6 arrives in mid-September, rather ahead of the production Ford GT. Excited, much?
