Formula One 2025: what are your predictions?
The F1 circus is back on tour, but what are you expecting to see this season?
The Australian Grand Prix will make its return as the F1 season opener this weekend for the first time since 2019. Hurrah! Ahead of that, we want to know your predictions for the whole of the 2025 season. Yep, it’s time to get your crystal balls out.
Feel free to share some of your thoughts in the comments section below. Perhaps you think Lewis Hamilton will finally get that eighth world title now that ‘hammer time’ has become ‘tempo di martello’, or maybe you’re struggling to see past the bookies’ favourite Lando Norris?
Carlos Sainz in his new Williams was the fastest out of anyone during testing, although the Spaniard did admit that he wasn’t sure the car had quite enough to rival the top teams. Will he and Alex Albon be at the front of that midfield pack?
Oh, and it looks as though Mercedes and Red Bull won’t be too far apart on pace, which could see best friends George Russell and Max Verstappen frequently fighting for the same spot of tarmac. That could get tasty.
And then there’s the other end of the grid. Is anyone going to go out on a limb to suggest that Sauber won’t finish bottom of the constructors’ championship? Looks like Haas and even Aston Martin could be down there too, at least until Adrian Newey gets to have his way with the 2025 car.
Plus, we’ve got six rookies on the grid this year with Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes, Oliver Bearman at Haas, Gabriel Bortoleto at Sauber, Jack Doohan at Alpine, Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls (or whatever it’s called this week) and of course Liam Lawson in that cursed second seat at Red Bull. Who will finish highest out of the new kids on the block?
Over to you: what will be the main stories in Drive to Survive season eight?
