Land Rover Discovery - long-term review

Just inside the Disco’s tailgate you find this pad of buttons. I’ve never seen anything like it. I can raise and lower the suspension, flick the towbar in and out and raise and lower all the seats.

The kids love it, especially when they realised there’s an app on my phone that moves the seats about as well. Thing is, when I actually need to move the seats about, I want it to happen quickly, as I have a bike or case in my hand, but they take ages. And then stop because they’re pinching a bag. It’s very clever, but the other day I was out with a mate and his Disco 4 and everything was so simple and easy. Perhaps it’s just a matter of time and familiarisation. I’m already a convert to the electric towbar. No greasy handprints that then get spread around the cabin.
