Dodge Challenger review
Good stuff
Classic muscle car looks, modern tech and luxury and huge spread of power outputs.
Bad stuff
Its size and weight work against it in fast corners. But also makes it more fun…
Overview
What is it?
The Dodge Challenger is the last true muscle car you can buy new today. Where the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro have morphed into muscle-bound sports cars, the Challenger remains true to the original big car, bigger engine philosophy. And there are now so many variants, offering anywhere from 305bhp in the GT and SXT all the way to the 797bhp SRT Hellcat Redeye, that there is a trim level to suit almost pockets and tastes.
What's the verdict?
If you want the authentic looks of a classic muscle car with all the features, performance and safety of a modern model, the Challenger is your ride. A special mention must be made for the supercharged cars, which are so outrageous value in terms of bang per buck you really should buy one while you still can.
