Lexus GX (US) (2010-2023) review
Buying
What should I be paying?
The GX’s rock solid reliability, construction and luxury make it a great owning proposition for anyone who needs – or just wants – some proper rugged road ability in their SUV. The engine is massively understressed and needs minor maintenance, there is room for plenty of people and their stuff – just not all at the same time – and it is a generally comfortable place to be. You can just imagine this truck in 200,000 miles time, still performing as quietly and reliably as it does today.
Things to note: if you regularly carry more than five people at the same time, you will not always have enough space and should look at the larger LX model. While the active safety has seen a significant boost for the 2020 model year, there are other trucks with newer and more modern systems. The pay-off is they do not have the GX’s off-road abilities. So you need to consider the importance of those.
