Buying
What should I be paying?
We’re still awaiting final fuel consumption figures but they’re unlikely to be a deal-breaker on a car whose price OTR is £336,500. A seven-year maintenance package is available with the 12Cilindri, the company backing itself to make a car that lasts the course.
Which brings us onto the really fun bit when it comes to a new Ferrari: the options list. Here are some highlights. Fully electric seats are £5,598, a trolley and travel bag costs £5,375, semi-aniline leather on the dashboard is £8,047, the airbrushed logo is £9,556, while a special colour on demand is £39,624. And that’s before you get into Ferrari’s Tailor Made universe. At which point all bets are off.
Big V12 Ferraris aren’t immune to depreciation, and it’s worth having a look at what 812s and F12s are currently changing hands for to get the lie of the land. If you really want to torture yourself, then cross-reference those numbers with the values commanded by the limited series F12tdf and 812 Competizione models. You’ll need a stiff drink followed by a lie down in a darkened room.
