You can now spec your Bentley in tweed

Flying Spur, Continental GT and Bentayga receive the Mulliner treatment

Published: 02 Dec 2020

Bentley has announced four tweed interior colour options for the Flying Spur, Continental GT and Bentayga, courtesy of Bentley’s bespoke division Mulliner.

Patterns include Cheltenham (countryside green), Glen Plaid–Tolsta Beach (a check pattern named after the shores of the Outer Hebrides), and Charcoal and San Herringbone, designed for dark and light interiors respectively.

Tweed is sourced from Lovat Mill in Scotland, which operates a “dry” production facility with no industrial chemicals used on site. In other words, it’s environmentally friendly.

The new options will be showcased in Mulliner’s latest Personal Commissioning Guide, alongside other personalisation capabilities such as headrest embroidery and marquetry. In total, the guide features over 70 options to choose from.

This isn’t the first time that Bentley has used tweed on its cars, with Mulliner having previously collaborated with Savile Row tailors Huntsman on the Sportsman Bentayga, which used Peck 62 tweed on the passenger and driver fascias.

Mulliner also used diamond-quilted tweed on the door panels and rear quarter panels of the Continental GT Equestrian Edition.

And last year, Bentley offered a tweed effect hood on the Continental GT Convertible, while the Bentley Bacalar Speedster, unveiled earlier this year, incorporated tweed into the centre console, dashboard, door panels and seats, plus a matching luggage set.

How’s that for style, internet?
