You can gaze upon Wiesmann's Project Thunderball at Salon Privé London next month
The long-awaited roadster finally greets us in the flesh for the first time on 20 April
Wiesmann, renowned for dabbling with BMW M engines and mad designs, will grace the second year of Salon Privé London with the long-awaited production version of its electric Project Thunderball next month.
Putting the Bond movie and National Lottery gags to one side, it'll be the first time we'll get to see the Thunderball in the metal since it was announced a year ago.
Retailing at over a quarter of a million quid, the Thunderball's first year of production is already sold out, so no doubt Wiesmann will be on the lookout for second-year buyers when Salon Privé London's doors open in April.
Due to be unveiled to the UK public at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Thunderball will join two other heritage models: the Wiesmann MF4 and MF5.
“Project Thunderball is the latest pioneering development in the Wiesmann story," said Wiesmann chief, Roheen Berry, "and it’s a huge moment for us to showcase our all-electric sports car to the UK public at Salon Privé London.
"We have a rich heritage of making timeless, handcrafted and unique sports cars with exceptional performance and Project Thunderball marks the moment that we begin now combining this with a state of the art all-electric powertrain and cutting-edge technology.”
This two-seat stunner shifts from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, with a chunky 92kWh battery that can be charged using ultra-fast 300kW chargers. Meanwhile the claimed range is 300 miles. Road trip, anyone?
