Is it a DFS sale? No! It’s Bugatti furniture
Admit it, you really want a Bugatti-inspired sofa
What do you need after a hard day’s work pushing flat out in the 1,578bhp Bugatti Bolide? A nice, comfy chair to sit in, of course. Luckily, Bugatti has just such a thing for your g-force fatigued backside.
Actually, it has many things. Here for thine eyes is the new Bugatti Home collection, featuring a catalogue of furniture which - according to makers Luxury Living Group - draws inspiration from various historic Bugatti design traits. We’ll take that information with a generous pinch of salt, please waiter.
Exhibit A is the Type_3 sofa, finished in Bugatti Blue and boasting "deep folds reminiscent of 1970s elegance". Armchair, chaise longue and ottoman variants are available.
Next up is the Type_7 desk, which is meant to "create a sense of purity and lightness" and also features an integrated drawer, no doubt big enough to house some of the Bugatti stocking-fillers that were revealed at the tail end of last year.
Then you’ve got the Type_1 modular sofa, chaise longue and loveseat, which a quick internet search confirms isn’t as NSFW as it sounds. Inspiration comes from the Bugatti ‘C-Line’, allegedly.
Finally, Bugatti presents you with the Type_4 dining table - complete with a glass top and a pair of chrome aluminium legs - and complementary Type_5 chair set. The frames are built from carbon fibre, which you’ll be glad of when you move house. Back pain is no joke.
All of the items are on display now in the Palazzo Chiesa gardens (the exhibit begins with a walkpast of a Mistral), coinciding with Milan Design Week. Or Junior Design Week, as it’s called by Alfa Romeo…
Prices are a case of ‘if you have to ask, you can’t afford it’. Maybe check out Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace in a couple of years…
