Stockholm's Uber users were in for a treat over the weekend, as the controversial taxi service acquired a new addition to its Swedish fleet.

Instead of the normal well-vacuumed-but-exceedingly-high-mileage Prius to ferry people to shops or back from the pub, Jon Olsson's 1000bhp RS6 was parading around the city looking for business.

But don't think that the playboy skier has fallen on hard times. It was a collaboration between Olsson's sponsor Betsafe and the popular taxi app to drum up interest in this year's Gumball 3000, which kicks off in Stockholm this coming weekend before making its way to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now, a super-wide-body RS6 with two blingy 18-karat gold turbochargers that massage the 4.0-litre V8 from 552bhp to a staggering 950-plus bhp is worth a five-star rating in our book, as is Jon's wide-eyed willingness to take punters through as many as the city's tunnels as possible. Especially considering the Swedish authorities' strict attitude towards enthusiastic driving on public roads.
