Accessorise your 1,011bhp Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 with these custom parts

Bagged one of the ‘Last Call’ editions of the bonkers Challenger? These limited edition aftermarket toys include all the bits to connect a parachute

Published: 25 Aug 2023

Congratulations, you’ve got hold of a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, a car so unrelenting in its pursuit of quarter-mile glory that Dodge will charge you $10k to undo all of its hard work by speccing a sunroof.

Still, you want to make your 1,011bhp Challenger your own and for that you need accessories. Y’know, ones that Dodge actually approves of. And so the firm has come up with a list of just such things.

So, deep breath: you can now buy a custom Goodwool car shell ($2,640) and custom satin-stretch indoor car cover ($695), plus a Direct Connection harness bar ($1,389) made from 4130 chromoly steel and a seat harness mounting kit ($179.99).

Dodge will charge you $3,999 to delete the rear seats, filling in the gaps with some carbon fibre for the floor and back panels.

Then there’s the really good stuff; a DC parachute mounting kit ($1,329) which includes rear bumper support, a parachute pack mount, and a mount and support bar that are powder-coated. The parachute release system is another $899. And no, neither of those includes an actual parachute. Still, pretty cool isn't it?

Finally there’s a trunk organiser (also $899), which is custom-fit for the Challenger’s trunk (sorry, boot) and sized to hold the Jay Leno’s Garage detailing products that come with the car as standard.

Which reminds us, all Demon 170 purchases come with a custom decanter set and customised IP badge for which you can choose up to 16 characters.

Sales of these parts begin from 6 September for exactly 12 months, and anyone interested in the limited-edition kit needs to call up Dodge direct to verify themselves as an owner before making an order.

Any takers?
