Top Gear goes to the movies!
The new issue of TG mag is out now featuring the best movie cars of all time
Here's looking at you, kid. Take your seat, grab your overpriced popcorn and prepare to enter a world of adventure: the new issue of Top Gear magazine is out now, and in it we celebrate the 25 greatest movie cars of all time.
Taking top billing are two stars that surely need little introduction - the Highland Green Ford Mustang from 1968's classic Bullitt, alongside the rebooted, 2018 5.0-litre V8 Bullitt Mustang - as we take it back to where it all started, on the streets of San Francisco.
Elsewhere in our round up of the top 25 movie cars, we look at films spanning the last 50 years: there are talking cars, supercars, vans and even some cartoon faces making the shortlist.
Think you can handle the truth? We've got behind-the-scenes info from fearless stunt driver Mark Higgins as he reveals the secrets of the trade, and we investigate the strange anatomy of a movie stunt car.
There's yet more muscle in the new issue, as we pit the wildest iteration of Corvette, Camaro and Challenger against each other in an all-American track battle. It's ZR1 vs ZL1 vs Demon. There Will Be Burnouts.
Back on British soil, and Aston Martin is getting involved in the V8 game – albeit packaged in the tiny Cygnet. Mad? Impractical? Unnecessary? Check. Hilarious? Definitely. We take it on a lap of London’s very own Nürburgring (otherwise known as the Congestion Charge Zone).
Out there on the real Nordschleife, Chris Harris drives the record-breaking and internet-melting Porsche 919 Le Mans winner. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
As ever in the new issue, we've got reviews on all the new cars that matter, including the 715bhp Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, BMW M2 Competition, the 200mph Jaguar Project 8, and even the new Hyundai Kona Electric.
Roads? Where we're going, you'll only need to hit the links below for the full issue.
