There are more Hyundai i30 N Lines

Hyundai makes a car called the i30N and it’s pretty excellent. And like all of its rivals, it extends some of the N’s styling and chassis bits down to less quick, slightly less excellent i30s. Some of the fun for fewer pounds, essentially.

The i30 N Line launched as a 138bhp 1.4-litre hatchback, but Hyundai will now let you have the N Line treatment not only with a 118bhp 1.0-litre turbo engine, but with the i30’s slightly fancier faux-saloon Fastback bodywork, too.

Spec the 1.0 and you get 17in alloys, while the 1.4 gets 18s with some properly good Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and bigger brakes. All N Lines, though, get similar styling flourishes to the full-fat i30N as well as its marvellously hugging sports seats. A highlight on the Fastback N Line is a triangular rear fog light that looks a little reminiscent of a Formula 1 car’s rain light. Or is that just us?

Prices for the i30 N Line currently start at £21,255, but expect that to drop closer to £20k with the introduction of the 1.0-litre version. The Fastback will cost an extra £500.
