Roll up! Lamborghini shifted a record-breaking 10,000 cars in 2023

And yup, most of those were Uruses...

Published: 16 Jan 2024

It turns out 2023 was a diamond year for Lamborghini: after six decades of churning out head-turners, the Italian carmaker sold more than 10,000 cars last year, breaking through five figures for the first time in its history.

Unsurprisingly the Urus was the best-selling model, with just over 6,000 sales over the course of 12 months as 3,962 new examples of the Huracan found homes.

Meanwhile 63 Lambo builds were shipped out with a V12, including the final dozen Aventadors and some other limited-run stuff.

Lambo's figures show that the US is its biggest market, taking 3,000 cars: that’s driven a growth of nine per cent on 2022’s numbers in the Americas region as a whole. European sales saw the biggest increase, growing by 14 per cent with almost 4,000 cars delivered on to the continent.

The Germans and Brits have a lot of love for a Lamborghini, as do our fellow petrolheads in China. Lambo drills down further into the national sales, but spreadsheets are best left to accountants.

“It’s a true source of pride for the whole company to have surpassed the 10,000-car delivery mark," said Stephan Winkelmann, bossman at Lamborghini. "Playing a role in achieving this milestone for Lamborghini is an honor [sic] for me and for all the people who work tirelessly to achieve this goal.

"This is a success made possible by the commitment of everyone, a major accomplishment based on true teamwork. But as always, we’re not stopping at single milestones, and we’re ready to take on more exciting new challenges in 2024.”

Wonder what effect the Revuelto might have on this year's numbers?
