The Aston Valkyrie is the fastest road legal car around the Top Gear track: watch it here

Aston Martin has finally handed the keys to its 1,139bhp, 6.5-litre V12-engined hybrid hypercar over to The Stig. And although the Valkyrie was designed by F1 megabrain Adrian Newey, it’s fully road-legal and can just about squeeze over a speed bump, so it’s eligible for a proper spot on the most hallowed of all leaderboards.

As you might expect, it was rather quick. So quick in fact, it's now the fastest road legal car to have lapped the Top Gear test track.
