This ridiculous collection of Ferraris is heading up for auction

RM Sotheby’s has a rather nice bunch of Italian things set to cross the block, and they’re all currently owned by the same lucky…

“Hidden from the public and never exhibited,” is how RM Sotheby’s describes this rather lovely collection of Ferraris that’s set to be auctioned in May. We certainly hope that changes with the new owners.

The Aurora Collection includes 14 cars that’ll be sold at the Villa Erba sale next month, with 12 of those wearing a Prancing Horse logo and looking spectacular in the Swedish snow.

The pick of the bunch is a 250 GT SWB Berlinetta that’s estimated to fetch between £6.5m and £7.5m. Yikes. And how good does that Rosso Fuoco and Giallo Modena Monza SP1 look? That’s essentially brand-new with just 16 miles on its clock.

The two interlopers in the collection are a Mercedes 300 Sc Roadster and a lovely 300 SL Gullwing which was apparently one of 17 delivered new to Sweden in the 1950s.

There’s a strong mix of classic and modern Ferraris in there, with the older generation including a Daytona Spider, a 500 TR Spider, a 275 GTS, a 250 GT Cabriolet, a Testarossa and a 275 GTB/4. Ooft.

The rest of the more modern bits after the Monza are a 550 Barchetta, a 360 Spider, an SA Aperta and a Blu Pozzi 550 Maranello that features a fantastically bright tan leather interior. Just get a look at this…
