Fancy a 140,000-mile Merc S63L with over £100k of depreciation?
This big-mileage AMG limo is heading up for auction with a remarkable estimate…
It’s no secret that well-specced, big-engined limos depreciate faster than they can burn through rear tyres, but even so this Mercedes S63L AMG looks like it could be a bit of an auction bargain.
It’s heading up for sale at the Classic Car Auctions Summer Sale in mid-June, and the first thing you need to know is that the single owner paid £120,990 for it back when it was new in 2008. Serious money.
They clearly enjoyed their purchase, managing to put 143,276 miles on the clock before deciding it was time to part company from the 6.2-litre V8 and its 518bhp.
Apparently £21,490 of the original purchase price was made up of optional extras, but a lucky (and potentially very brave) punter might now be able to pick it up at auction for somewhere between £12,000 and £15,000. Ouch.
What do we think Internet? Would you be tempted to take a punt on a long wheelbase, AMG-ified S Class that costs less than a new Dacia Duster?
