The refreshed Hyundai i10 is here, and there's an N Line version!
Don't get your hopes up though, it's cosmetic changes only...
Hyundai’s been tweaking the design of the i10, and with this mid-life refresh hitting production in the spring, the popular city car has spawned a sporty-looking N Line variant. Yes!
More on that in a moment. The facelifted i10 finds itself with a bit more kit and some mild exterior changes. And we mean mild, with styling updates to the third-gen car hardly noticeable to the untrained eye.
There are new 15in alloys, the roofline is lower and the box-fresh, honeycomb grille now sports a different shape of front reflectors.
Hyundai also says LED day running headlights and folding mirrors have been integrated too.
Set to start rolling out of the factory in April, the reinvigorated i10’s driver assist tech has been given a bit of an upgrade. Lane keep assist (LKA, LFA) and Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) are now standard, the latter ensuring you no longer need to pay extra to ensure you don’t accidentally forget your offspring.
A newly updated Forward Collision Warning (FCW) alert now applies to cyclists as well as pedestrians. Bound to be an aural nightmare reacting to the traffic-light peloton at rush hour…
The standard tech kit now features a USB-C port for phone charging, eCall - which is the automatic emergency calling the car will do if involved in a serious collision - and a 4.2in cluster display.
Meanwhile blue mood lamps up front and an amount of purple that would make Barney the dinosaur proud bedeck the cabin if you opt for the ‘Purple Package’.
Though (thankfully) not for the N Line variant: the sportier Hyundai i10 N Line boasts fancy new bumpers, inserts and red accents instead. But - we're sorry to report - no extra power or i30 N-esque fettling. Sad times.
Both still come with the eight-inch audio video nav (complete with remote updates), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger and the latest update to Hyundai’s Bluelink companion app, which shows all the vehicle and journey data.

Though CO2 and fuel economy stats aren’t yet available, and Hyundai is holding off announcing any detailed spec, the i10's 1.0-litre 3cyl and 1.2-litre four-pots are bound to be ULEZ-friendly.
New orders will hit the road in the second half of 2023, though prices are still TBC. Go on, what number would tempt you?
