Question of the Week

Question of the Week: which one supercar should be produced forever more?

Please note: no logical thinking is required to participate in this round

Published: 19 Aug 2024

The Zonda is a car that Pagani just can’t seem to let go, can it? Last week, news broke that Horacio decided to revive the legendary supercar once more, and it’s a 7.3-litre, V12-powered, manually-driven swansong… or is it?

A betting person would wager quite heavily that it won’t be the very last Zonda built, and that got us thinking: which one supercar, past or present, should continue to be produced indefinitely until the end of time?

We’re not going to go full anorak mode here and talk about production numbers or even if any mechanical changes should be applied over time to keep said car evergreen. All we want to know is what car is worthy and, more importantly, why.

The Lexus LFA immediately springs to mind, given that it was meant to be little more than a Toyota Celica in a fancy frock. Instead, the howling V10-powered titan has established itself as one of the all-time driver’s car greats, blending incredible agility and speed with one hell of a soundtrack.

Who’d really complain if they had the option to walk into a Lexus dealership at a moment’s notice and order one? Obviously, this will affect values and the ‘oh my god it’s an LFA’ factor over time, but let’s bin common sense and logical thinking on this one.

Let us know which car takes your vote in the comment section below and, as always, we’ll pluck the very best comments to form the structure for this Friday’s result post. Happy dreaming, readers.
