As Mazda announces a fresh concept, here's what happened to its finest
Today, Mazda announced it will bring a new crossover concept to the Frankfurt show in September, an SUV-thing named Koeru.
Which is frankly all the excuse we need to dust off this heartbreaking shot of Mazda’s greatest-ever concept – hell, maybe the greatest-ever concept – the mighty Furai.
The Furai was a one-off monster: a rotary-engined, carbon-bodied, fully functioning race car. It was also, as the photo above attests, very much not fireproof.
