Paris motor show round-up 2 news - 2008

Published: 06 Oct 2008

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff pouring out from the Paris Motor Show? Here are all the biggest concepts from the show floor, corralled into a convenient paddock of news. Or something.

Citroen GT: A concept you can actually drive! On the Playstation, mind. Citroen messes with the world of virtual reality… with awesome results.

Aston Martin One-77: Concept? Production ready? Very difficult to tell from Aston’s bizarre partial unveiling, but we’ve seen enough to know that we want one.

Mini Crossover: We hoped it’d look better in the metal than it did in the pre-show photos. It doesn’t. Are you sure you want to build it, Mini?

Peugeot RC Hybrid: Peugeot in good-looking-car shocker! So what’s the betting they’ll totally hash up the lovely lines of this four-door four-seater if it makes it to production?

Peugeot Prologue Hybrid: That’s more like it, Peugeot. A big lumpen whale of an MPV concept that looks depressingly close to production. Try harder.

Renault Ondelios: We spent half an hour staring at this giant GT-thing, and we’ve still got no idea what it actually is. Definitely a strong contender for ‘Weirdest Arse in Show’.

Renault ZE: Looks like a day-glo Kangoo, but under the lumino-green exterior lurks some clever electric tech. Something about Thermos flasks, apparently…

Mercedes Fascination: Forget the weird shooting brake thing and check out the front end on this swoopy Merc concept. That’s the face of the next E-Class, that is..
