This modified Hyundai Tucson 'Beast' is in the new Uncharted movie
The adventure game that becomes an action film gets an unlikely star turn: a family SUV
Hyundai has revealed a new version of its popular and enormously sensible Tucson family SUV called ‘Beast’.
Details about this new trim level are scant, and TopGear.com wonders whether this new Tucson ‘Beast’ will sit alongside the ‘N Line’ trim in the sensible family SUV’s line-up, or perhaps above it.
In any case, Hyundai states only that this new model offers a “rugged exterior with fortified bumpers”, alongside new tyres and “other outdoor-ready accoutrements”. TopGear.com can comfortably state this new mid-sized, special-edition family SUV is being marketed towards the wise-cracking, treasure-hunting crowd.
There’s no word on powertrains but expect Hyundai’s usual 1.6-litre turbo petrol. What effect those new bumpers, tyres, roof rack and general outdoorsiness have on the estimated fuel economy and indeed performance has yet to be confirmed, though.
Indeed, prices haven't been announced for the Tucson ‘Beast’, and it appears the car will debut in a feature film called Uncharted scheduled for later this month; a movie based on a best-selling videogame about a treasure-hunter called Nathan Drake who’s searching for a lost fortune and... ah, gotcha.
