Which Ferrari F1 car sounds the best?

Many of you are unhappy about the noises coming out of this year's Formula One cars. Many of you have expressed this in a variety of CAPS LOCK ways.

To you irascible folk, then, may we provide a droplet of panacea to ease the suffering; a whiff of elixir to remind you that ‘twas not always this way. Proof that Formula One of yesteryear sounded... shoutier.

Capable YouTuber Marchettino - the same Marchettino who provided footage of LaFerrari and Enzo climbing the hills above Monaco - has edited together footage from his personal collection of some of Ferrari's old F1 machinery hooning around a track, a selection of the Scuderia's finest engine configurations for you to marvel at.

Things like the 412 T2 from 1995 and its 690bhp 3.0-litre V12. Or the 800-odd horsepower, 2.4-litre V8 from the Ferrari F10 (as driven by Alonso and Massa). Then there's Michael Schumacher's all-conquering, all-consuming F2002 from 2002; an 835bhp 3.0-litre V10 that took 15 wins from 17 races in the season.

Also in the mix is Alonso's F150 from 2011 - named as a tribute to the anniversary of the unification of Italy - with its 2.4-litre V8, 1982's 126 C2 and its twin-turbo, 580bhp 1.5-litre V6 (complete with some exhaust fire, if you look closely), and the V8 from the F2008.

The car Nigel Mansell made his Ferrari debut in - the F1-89 - makes an appearance with its 600bhp 3.5-litre V12, along with the insanely powerful, 865bhp 3.0-litre V10 from the F2005.
