This is a $200k modified Porsche 911 Turbo S with carbon fibre aero

Few individuals would look to a Porsche 911 Turbo S and conclude that it was in need of more performance… which is exactly what a Miami-based tuner has given it.

Recognising that “Porsche enthusiasts are among the most detailed automotive collectors in the world”, 1016 Industries has revealed its 992-based Turbo S, with modifications focusing on aero.

Naturally said elements are made from carbon fibre, available as either traditional woven or forged, and able to be manufactured in a ‘special’ satin or gloss finish. At an additional cost, of course.

And they’re elements fashioned in the vein of the 992 GT3. 1016 reckons on these new items providing a “lighter, more robust baseline for the 992, allowing for even more impressive handling and performance”.

The new kit is comprised of a new front aero lip, side intake, and a bonnet all fashioned from CF, while ‘engineered wing tips’, side skirts, a new rear wing and a rear diffuser are all available. Each can be purchased individually or as a complete package, including with the car. The full ‘992 Turbo S by 9Design’ starts from $200k, while the bits themselves cost $54,065 without fitting.

Perhaps sensibly, there’s been no work done to the 992 Turbo’s 3.8-litre sixer, because fresh out the box it kicks out 641bhp, a titanic 590lb ft of torque and is capable of travelling from 0-62mph in ‘light speed’. Or ‘2.7s’ if you’re using old-fashioned metrics. Will top out at 205mph and that’s enough thanks.
