The Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien has hit the streets of New York
Check out these new pictures of the go-anywhere supercar in Times Square
Remember the Marc Philip Gemballa Marsien, readers? The go-anywhere supercar, based on the 992-generation 911 Turbo S, that comes from Marc Philipp Gemballa, son of late German tuner Uwe Gemballa? Course you do.
Well, tired of dune-bashing in the Arab Emirates, it’s lately been proving its road-going credentials on the streets of New York. Just check out the pictures above.
Inspired by the Paris Dakar rally era, the Marsien wears a full carbon-fibre body, while the 3.7-litre flat-six has been tweaked by German Porsche specialists RUF so that it now produces over 750bhp and 686lb ft of torque, good for 0-62mph in 2.6 seconds and on to a top speed of over 200mph. Not that that’ll be much handy during rush hour, mind.
What likely will come in handy around the city, however, is the adjustable suspension, designed by KW Automotive, that hydraulically raises the ride height from the standard 120mm to a sky-high 250mm. No chance of scraping this thing on speed bumps.
Still, you’ll need deep pockets: the Marsien is limited to just 40 examples, with prices starting from €495,000… plus a donor 911 Turbo S.
