How much carbon can you add to the McLaren 600LT?

A new 592bhp lightweight supercar means a new configurator to make merry with

McLaren has properly gone to town on the 600LT, stripping out 96kg of weight – if you spec the hardcore seats and delete the glovebox – adding 30bhp of poke, and banishing superheated exhaust gasses straight out the top of the rear deck and over a flameproof rear wing. The baby McLaren has well and truly grown up.

And because there’s so much carbon on offer, such tempting lightweight seats and a rainbow of colours to choose from, configuring one is an exercise you should take your time over. With four different wheel finishes on the menu, and the ‘should I delete my air-conditioning’ conundrum to mull, you may be perfecting your 600LT for some time. You have been warned.
