F1 Las Vegas liveries: Alpha and Alfa join the party

AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo make it SIX special Vegas liveries on track this weekend. You like?

Published: 17 Nov 2023

Okay, enough already. AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo have become the final (we hope) two teams to roll out special liveries for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, meaning most of the grid has rocked up in fancy dress this weekend.

Ferrari, Alpine, Williams and Red Bull are all running their own one-off designs to mark F1’s return to Sin City, predictably with various references to neon lights and, er, gambling. What, no Elvis mascots?

AlphaTauri’s exchanged its usual blue ‘n’ white matte finish for a zebra-esque concept, taking inspiration from its tie-up with Brendan Monroe’s Las Vegas Capsule Collection. It’s a fashion thing, since you ask.

“I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with AlphaTauri,” said Brendan. “Working together with the creative team at a fashion brand was very inspiring to me. They were instrumental in our collaboration from start to finish and they’ve produced so many beautiful pieces for this special capsule collection.”

We think he’s referring to Yuki Tsunoda’s matching gilet and hat (see pics). Very trendy.

Meanwhile Alfa Romeo has gone for a stealthy (and quite difficult to see) livery complete with gold detailing and playing cards along the nose and engine cover. It looks pretty slick under studio lights, if a bit difficult to pick out at 200mph…

Phew. Anyone else special-liveried out now?
