Toyota will reveal the GR Corolla hot hatch later this week

Good news! Toyota has confirmed that its new GR Corolla hot hatch will be fully unveiled at 2:30am UK time this coming Friday. We are mighty excited. Toyota has been teasing a hot Corolla for a while now, and it looks as though it’ll get the same four-wheel drive, 268bhp powertrain as the Japanese market’s slightly brawnier GR Yaris. Those teaser images above hint at some fairly aggressive arches too. Perfect.

The only issue? That super sleepy reveal time on our shores is because the wraps will come off at 9:30pm in the US, and it’s Toyota USA that has been doing all the marketing of the Gazoo Racing Corolla so far. Uh oh. There’s been no official confirmation as to whether we’ll even get it in Europe.
