The most extreme Bentley ever is on its way

“Bentley is welcoming the start of 2017 with the launch of a new pinnacle Grand Tourer. Full details will be disclosed this Friday, 6th January.”

And so ends the most teasing of teasers. Alongside the video above, that’s all Bentley is giving away about its latest model before we see it in full at the end of the week.

The video tells us it will be Bentley's most extreme model yet. When the British carmaker’s past includes the Continental GT3-R, that's some statement.

The slight glimpses of the new car suggest there will be a carbon wing, big spangly alloys and large brakes. Given we can expect something north of 600bhp in a car weighing many kilos, large brakes are good.

Sense would tell us this is the maddest version of the Continental GT yet, but we'll know for sure what form Bentley's new sports car takes on Friday.
