Mercedes has facelifted its many mid-sized vans
The EQV, V-Class and Vito get a much needed makeover, promising more of everything
That’s right, more of everything. More comfort. More safety. More functionality. More… premiumness. More of all the stuff that makes a person want to buy a Mercedes van.
And what does that actually amount to practically? The usual stuff of course: a design refresh outside and in, some extra tech, bigger screens, and no changes to the powertrains whatsoever. Generic facelift ahoy.
All of this applies to the EQV, the V-Class (plus the swish Marco Polo version, as evidenced in the gallery above), the Vito and the eVito, the latter of which is top-seller of the 40,000-ish electric vans Merc has shifted so far.
Oh and there’s a new EV van platform on the way - called VAN.EA - that will underpin the next generation of ‘leccy vans from 2026 onwards. No doubt that’ll deliver even more of everything than these will.
“We want to offer the most desirable vans and services and play a pioneering role in e-mobility – from MPVs to motor homes and commercial vans,” explains Klaus Rehkugler, head of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans. “Our new midsize van models are another step towards achieving this goal.
“The more mature luxury positioning of the EQV and V-Class and the sharpened premium character of the eVito and Vito will enable us to increase our focus on high-margin regions and industries.”
So, what do we make of the line-up above?
