ABT has given the Audi RS7 more power than a Ferrari 488 Pista

Dubbed the ABT ‘RS7-S’, this £41k package for Audi’s sporty saloon includes heavy suspension upgrades and much louder exterior styling

Published: 10 Jun 2024

German tuning enthusiast ABT has taken the Audi RS7 Sportback and boosted it by more than 100bhp, found an extra 70(ish) torques and given the big saloon’s styling small but mighty fixtures. Because clearly, the 'standard' RS7 needed all of those things.

Still, it means the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 now punches out 730bhp and 701lb ft in total - numbers which means it could shame an awful number of modern-day supercars.

This power is corralled through an eight-speed automatic transmission and sent to all four wheels via Audi’s trusty Quattro system. Unusually, ABT hasn't revealed the 0-62mph time or top speed of its modified RS7, which means it either hasn't changed from the not-very-standard car’s 3.4s/190mph, or... it's off the charts.

There are several other mechanical changes, including new sports suspension with upgraded coilover springs and sports stabilisers at both axles. Inside, you’ll find a selection of ABT logos, a redesigned gear selector and much Alcantara over the steering wheel, while recoloured paddle shifts and ABT seat frame covers are thrown in for good measure. Looks good, right? Albeit not quite as dramatic as the exterior changes.

Headliners here include a new front splitter and corresponding blades, new side skirts and a (tiny) new rear wing as part of the aggressive new body kit. You’ll also spot ABT’s sports exhaust system and a quartet of black stainless steel tailpipes out back, while 22in custom alloys sit along the flanks.

ABT will also wrap your vehicle as part of the conversion cost, which will set you back £41,300. Once you've laid down £115,000 for a not-at-all standard RS7.
