This is the 750bhp, 217mph SCG003S

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus's supercar will be "the fastest cornering car on sale"

Published: 11 Oct 2016

Plenty of companies claim they transfer racecar technology to the road, but perhaps none does it more convincingly than Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.

That’s because SCG’s new supercar is essentially just its racer – which has taken class honours at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, one of the world’s more tortuous races – with some number plates and proper lights.

The SCG003S – seen here in its final production form – may have a name like a piece of coding, but it looks rather more exciting than its prosaic tag. SCG is promising “the fastest cornering car on sale”, with downforce taken from the world of sports prototype racing cars. Cornering forces can top 2G, so you might want to pack sick bags if you’ve got a passenger.

It mates a carbonfibre chassis to a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing ‘in excess of’ 750bhp. Plenty, then. That means 0-62mph in less than three seconds and a 217mph-plus top speed, just like Ferrari quotes for the LaFerrari. It makes a change from previous SCG concepts, which have used a 3.5-litre V6.

As well as offering plenty of aesthetic personalisation options, SCG will also offer mechanical tweaks so owners can make their car suit their talent levels.

And as for the looks, it’s a fairly ferocious thing, with elements of Ferrari Enzo visible to our eyes. But what do you think – would you spend £1million-plus on this rather than a Pagani, McLaren or Ferrari?
