2025 Cadillac Escalade: facelift brings 691bhp and 55in curved infotainment screen
Caddy’s also fiddled with the suspension, while the interior gets even more wood, padding and screens for passengers
This is the all-new, postcode-swallowing 2025 Cadillac Escalade, and it’s been given a minor facelift, fancier cabin embellishments and small dynamic improvements, primarily focused on the ride.
A series of V8 engines can be paired up with a 10-speed automatic, which tops out with the 6.2-litre supercharged block in the ‘V-Series’ model - good for 691bhp. That’ll be matched with independent Adaptive Air Ride suspension and Cadillac’s latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 to make all that power feel a bit more soft and plush.
The face has also been quite noticeably lifted, with a bolder design featuring a less profiled lower lip, more contour below the full-length illuminated grille, 24in alloys (the largest ever fitted to an Escalade) and thinner horizontal headlight signatures. The latter now means most of the functioning lights move across to the still-thick vertical clusters. The whole look has been inspired by the Celestiq and Lyric models, says Caddy.
Moving on to the interior - which has seating for as many as eight people - six trim levels will be available that range from the entry-level ‘Luxury’ to the aforementioned range-topping V-Series. Highlights include a 55in curved infotainment screen, massage seats and a 19-speaker audio system - which can be upgraded to as many as 40 in the highest trim grades.
Rear seat passengers also get 12.6in diagonal screens, and a rear command centre can be optioned in to allow your seven-year-old to control your mood on long journeys. They’ll even have 5G Wi-Fi connectivity and numerous wireless charging pads to continuously steam their favourite cartoons between nags for more popcorn.
You’ll also spot quilted and perforated upholstery across the leathered interior, while open-pore wood has been used in generous quantities to turn the inside of the new Escalade into even more of a luxury hotel suite than it already was. There are also as many as 126 interior ambient lighting options. Surely that includes the exact colour of popcorn, too?
Pricing for the new Escalade will be revealed in the coming months, but reasonable predictions can be made given the outgoing car’s starting price of circa £65k.
