There aren't many 60 year olds that celebrate their birthdays by opening a theme park in their own honour, but then Ferrari isn't your average pensioner.

The Italian firm is marking its 60th anniversary with the Ferrari 60 Relay, which will start at the site of the proposed Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi.

The Relay will then tour 50 countries in 148 days before ending up back at home in Maranello on June 24.

Rounding off the festivities will be a concours d'elegance to show off the best cars Ferrari has ever built.
