The average cost of a Rolls-Royce in 2022 was half a million Euros
Which is more than double the average cost of a Rolls in 2014. RR posted a new sales record last year
Luxury car maker Rolls-Royce has taken over 6,000 orders for cars in 2022. This sets a new record for sales in the company’s 118-year history, as the British brand sets out its strategy to simultaneously keep things growing and remain rare and exclusive.
The self-labelled ‘House of Luxury’, in its latest statement, Rolls-Royce commented on customers’ "ever more imaginative and technically demanding" orders. Unsurprisingly, such requests are met with a Jerry Maguire-inspired ‘show me the money’. As such, the brand has seen the purchase prices of one of its bespoke creations shift from over €200,000 (£156,700-ish, at the time) in 2014 to an average of around €500,000 (£441,100 in today’s money) in 2022.
While we’re itching to know who allegedly requested their taxidermied pet tortoise as a dashboard ornament - ok, we might have made that up - Rolls-Royce prides itself on providing an exceptionally personalised service to its global customers, based predominantly in the Middle East and, for these latest figures, The Americas.
Following the success of opening a Private Office in Dubai, it plans to open further Private Offices around the world. But the success still remains a UK one. Each vehicle takes around six months to make, due to the bespoke approach, and the increase in sales has prompted the company to hire a further 120 staff at its Goodwood production facility. Top job!
