We've been expecting you, Mr Bond: watch the final trailer for Spectre

New 007 film lands 26 October, starring Aston and Jag. You want to see it

Published: 05 Oct 2015

Not long to go now. Spectre, the new James Bond flick and Daniel Craig’s fourth outing as 007, opens on 26 October (if you’re in the UK at least – it’s November 6 for the rest of the world), and judging by this new trailer, it’s shaping up to be a cracker.

OK, this final teaser doesn’t feature a whole lot in the way of car-based action, but frankly we can live with that, because it does feature helicopters and collapsing buildings and evil baddies and planes… and at least a fleeting glimpse of that chase scene starring the Aston DB10 and Jaguar C-X75.

Excited, much? You should be. Especially because we’re promised Bond’s new Aston has a few tricks up its sleeve.

The underpinnings are V8 Vantage,” Aston design boss Marek Reichman told us at the DB10’s unveiling, “but it has a longer wheelbase than the V8, and an incredibly wide track, almost the width of the One-77.

“The engine is exactly as you might expect, a 4.7-litre V8, but maybe there’s something there you won’t expect. We want to focus on what James Bond’s hands are doing. That may give you a hint…”

Enough to give it the edge over the extraordinary Jag C-X75 in the hands of a massive assassin? We’ll find out in just a few weeks…
