AMS Nissan GT-R posts 9 second quarter mile
Puny earth cars look and weep - this is the AMS-tuned Nissan GT-R. And it could very well be the world's quickest R35.
Like some bandana-clad bench-presser leaking with the flatulent residue of protein-shakes, this tuned GT-R boasts 764bhp and has just recorded a 9.9 second quarter mile time.
Let's just put that into perspective - a Bugatti Veyron posts a 10.2 second standing quarter mile, and that thing pushes out 1,001bhp.
At the Supra and GTR Nationals event in Texas, AMS decided to lay down the law and show what a nine second car really looks like. It looks like, er, this.
The ‘roid-head GT-R packs a new exhaust system, upgraded ball-bearing turbos, upgraded intercoolers and fuel injectors, high-flow intake piping and a recalibrated fuel system to allow for normal petrol or high octane stuff.
On the top-quality juice, AMS reckon their mods will push the tuned 3.8-litre twin turbo's power output to 850bhp. Which we believe is exactly enough power to recalibrate Vin Diesel's remaining hair follicles.
Check out the vid for some tuned GTR goodness. And let us know - does a quicker R35 Skyline exist out there?
