The Alfa 4C has been modified. Good tune, or bad tune?
The Alfa Romeo 4C gains a little more power and a lot more aggression. Like it?
The Alfa Romeo 4C is a mighty little car, though not one without flaws. Step forward tuner Zender, ready to wave its magic wand in an attempt to fix our qualms.
It’s focused predominantly, though, on something that perhaps didn’t need any fixing. Namely the 4C’s bewitching looks.
Zender has seen fit to bestow Alfa’s little mid-engined sports car with a carbon fibre bodykit, comprising a more aerodynamic front bumper, size skirts, rear diffuser and side mirrors, among other additions.
There are also some Porsche 911 GT3-esque centre-locking wheels, the overall aesthetic altogether more aggressive than standard, while conversely the interior appears notably more luxurious. Let us know via the poll below whether you think it’s a success or not.

There have been tweaks beneath the surface too, though, with the 4C’s 1.75-litre four-cylinder turbo engine boosted 34bhp to 271bhp, while torque climbs 258 to 295lb ft.
Combined with an apparent 15kg weight saving, the 4C’s 0-62mph time is now 0.2sec quicker, at 4.3sec.
Our ongoing bugbears with the 4C’s dynamics likely continue, then, given a lack of power wasn’t our main concern. But then most buyers will likely be knocking on Zender’s door for its styling package. Would you be one of them?
