1.    IT’S A LOOKER

A familiar name that’s now fully electric, the all new Megane E-Tech 100% electric mixes classic hatchback practicality with cutting-edge, crossover style. Its shape is informed by aerodynamic innovation – the low, coupe-style roof and those sculpted lines actually help to increase the driving range. They also give it a futuristic look, along with the 20-inch alloy wheels, standard on the Techno and Launch Edition, distinctive LED lights and gold chrome accents on the Launch Edition. There’s a bit of theatre about it too. As you approach, puddle lamps even illuminate the Renault logo on the ground.

2.    YOU WON’T WANT TO GET OUT

The cabin is completely reinvented, taking the all-electric experience to another level. The dashboard is fully digital, with a sweeping widescreen displaying essential information and digital dials. Then there’s the central tablet style nine-inch OpenR link screen, which is home to the navigation and built-in apps. The inside is smart and uncluttered, with a choice of finishes and inventive materials, including recycled fabrics. Plus, being a Megane, it’s also practical – it has lots of storage, including a seven-litre cubby between the front seats.

3.    IT’S ROOMY

Renault’s dedicated all-electric architecture frees up plenty of room. With no engine, exhaust or transmission tunnel, there’s more space for people and storage, and thanks to the ultra-slim battery pack and compact 160kW motor, the designers have maximised the interior space, while retaining compact dimensions. In other words, it’s bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. The flat floor means there’s more room to stretch out and there’s 440 litres of boot space, with the charging cables hidden away in an under-floor compartment.

4.    GOOGLE IS BUILT IN

The all new Megane E-Tech 100% electric is one of the first cars with Google fully integrated, which is standard on the Techno and Launch edition*. That means you can use all the best apps – including Google Maps – without having to connect or mirror your phone. You can add up to five accounts, so different drivers and passengers can log into their own profiles. And there’s hands-free help with Google Assistant – just say “Hey Google” to make calls, find a destination or even change the temperature in the car. It's as smooth as a smartphone and just as easy to use.

5.    IT’S PACKED WITH APPS

In addition to Google Maps, other integrated apps include Spotify, YouTube Music, Google Play Books and more. Just log into your Google profile and use the apps as you would on your phone. It’s the ultimate on-board entertainment. On top of that, there’s the My Renault app to make everyday life easier. It allows you to remotely set the temperature of the cabin, schedule charging, plan your journey to go via available chargers, and show the battery level.

6.    REAL-TIME NAV RULES

Google Maps gives you accurate and reliable navigation, including real-time traffic updates. With millions of users constantly informing Google’s database, the system is always bang up-to-date, alive and continually evolving. Special features for all-electric driving include routes optimised for driving range, battery level and available charging points.

7.    IT’S QUICK

With a compact yet powerful motor producing 220hp, performance is smooth, silent and swift, with 0-62mph taking 7.5 seconds. That neat battery – the slimmest on the market – gives it ideal weight distribution and a low centre of gravity, which is great for corners. Further weight-saving features, like aluminium doors, means it weighs just 1,636kg, making it one of the lightest EVs in its category.

8.    IT’S SAFE AND SOUND

Depending on which edition and options you choose, you’ll have up to 22 safety and assistance systems at your disposal, all working away to give you a helping hand and an extra pair of eyes – from adaptive vision LED headlights with fog mode, to road sign recognition and emergency braking assist.

With its 60kWh battery, the all new Megane E-Tech 100% electric can travel up to 280 miles** on a single charge. When it’s time to top up, you can plug in at home, or make the most of public charging stations out and about – with a charging speed of up to 130kW, you can add 186 miles of driving range in just 30 minutes at a rapid charger***.
