Video: driving a Ford GT40 to Le Mans
In 1966, Ford won the Le Mans 24hr race with a legendary 1-2-3 finish. The car? The GT40, arguably the most iconic racing car of all time.
Ahead of this year's race then, Team Top Gear was entrusted with driving the original GT40 along with its 2006 GT road car reboot down to la Sarthe to witness Ford's racing return.
You can read about the drive down here, and get more information in this month's new Top Gear magazine. For now, hit play above and revel in the noise of a 1960s V8 (hint: it sounds very, very good).
