Smash and grab: our Ford Puma is vandalised
It was a lovely sunday late afternoon and we had decided to go for a walk in our favourite woods. Three hours later, on our return to the car, my happiness completely evaporated.
Not because of the Puma itself, but because some nasty little low-life had decided to smash the rear passenger window and steal my sister’s waterproof. And it wasn’t even raining.
I reported it to Thames Valley Police, who gave me little hope that any culprit would ever be found. I then began the process of getting the window replaced. Because the Puma is a relatively new car, the part wasn’t in stock, so I was minus a car from Monday to Friday.
However, on its return, it looked as good as new. The guys had even given it a good wash. Cost for glass and adhesive £132.68. Plus an hour and a half of labour. That was an expensive walk in the woods.
