Citroen C5 Aircross - long-term review

When I were a lad and lived on a farm, my folks liked white cars. Because they didn't show the dirt. No, really. The light-brown of dried-on mud actually does disappear better onto a white background than a dark paint.

I haven't been cleaning the C5 very often. The white is good at disguising the general dusty murk that falls out of London skies, as well as the grey stuff swirling up from a wet motorway. The black roof less so. Black wheels are OK – they simply lose their gloss, but stay roughly the same colour, as tyre and brake dust migrates to their surface.

Strangest bit are the dimples near the rear of the bonnet. Dirty water pools up there, dries off, and leaves a playa deposit.
